Life: Depleted Uranium (DU) ammunition is used by various different countries because of its high penetrating power that can destroy even tanks. Uranium has a very high density (19.1 g/cm3). The use of DU could be a factor in the development of Gulf War syndrome (fatigue, loss of muscle control, headaches, dizziness and loss of balance, memory problems, muscle and joint pain, indigestion, skin problems, immune system problems, and birth defects). Also, children in Iraq have contracted leukemia and cancer, possibly after radioactive contamination from playing in destroyed tanks. Interesting video 'Der Arzt und die verstrahlten Kinder von Basra-Irak.flv' on Youtube.
